About PinkPantheress
Victoria Beverley Walker, performing as PinkPantheress, was born in Bath, England on April 22, 2001 to Kenyan and English heritage. She launched her recording career while studying film production at the University of the Arts London (UAL), building her audience through TikTok with short, sample-heavy tracks. She is widely cited as a foundational figure of the early-2020s TikTok-era pop and contemporary UK garage revival. Her 2021 debut mixtape To Hell with It received international critical attention. Her 2023 single Boy's a Liar Pt. 2 (a remix of her earlier single with Ice Spice) became a international viral hit and reached number three on the Billboard Hot 100. Her debut LP Heaven Knows (2023) and follow-up Fancy That (2025) continued her trajectory.
Sound and style
PinkPantheress's sound combines pop, UK garage, drum and bass, electronic pop, alternative R&B, breakbeat, and dance-pop with her distinctive ethereal vocal delivery, extensive sample integration (use of early 2000s UK garage, drum and bass, and pop samples), and arrangements drawing on classic UK garage (1990s/2000s reference points) alongside contemporary TikTok-era pop influences.
