Pink Lady Monster is a Denver post-punk and no-wave band founded in 2020 by vocalist and songwriter Simone Fohrman, who performs as Simone “Serpentine Ludicrous.” What began as a bedroom recording project grew into a collaborative group built around live improvisation, experimentation and a taste for the strange.
The band's music pulls together wiry guitar, bass-led post-punk and dub rhythms, free-jazz saxophone, xylophone, synthesizer and restless percussion. The results can be angular, danceable, funny and disorienting at once, with surreal lyrics and arrangements that resist predictable verse-and-chorus structures.
