She studied biology at St. John's University in New York City (a source of her The Scientist stage name) before pursuing music full-time. She signed with RCA Records and released her debut To Die For (2019). She has been associated with Young Thug, who signed her to his Young Stoner Life Records label. She has continued releasing material across multiple decades. Her 2024 album Hearts Sold Separately received critical attention.
