About Make Them Suffer

Make Them Suffer formed in Perth, Western Australia in 2008. They have moved through Roadrunner Records, Rise Records, and Greyscale Records across their catalog. Booka Nile joined as keyboardist and backing vocalist in 2017, becoming central to the band's contemporary symphonic and electronic-influenced metalcore sound. She departed in 2024. The 2024 self-titled Make Them Suffer marked her final album with the band.

Sound and style

Make Them Suffer's sound combines metalcore, deathcore, symphonic metalcore, post-hardcore, and progressive metalcore with Harmanis's distinctive screamed/sung vocal delivery, extensive keyboard and orchestral arrangements (particularly during the Booka Nile era), and aggressive contemporary metalcore production approaches.
