About KAYTRANADA
Louis Kevin Celestin, performing as KAYTRANADA, was born in Port-au-Prince, Haiti on August 25, 1992 and raised in Montreal, Quebec from age four. He launched his recording career in the early 2010s and signed with XL Recordings for 99.9% (2016), with critical and commercial success. His 2019 album BUBBA won the Grammy Award for Best Dance/Electronic Album in 2021. He came out publicly as gay in 2016. His 2023 collaboration with Aminé (Kaytraminé) received critical attention, and TIMELESS (2024) marked his return to solo full-length work.

KAYTRANADA's sound combines house, electronic dance music, deep house, contemporary R&B, hip hop, neo-soul, and dance with extensive integration of contemporary R&B, hip hop, and dance music traditions, signature percussive grooves, and production collaboration with R&B and hip hop vocalists.
