Icona Pop formed in Stockholm, Sweden in 2009 around Caroline Hjelt and Aino Jawo. Their 2012 single I Love It (featuring Charli XCX, who co-wrote the song) became a international viral hit, reaching number seven on the Billboard Hot 100 in 2013. They have continued releasing material across multiple labels and configurations across the 2010s and 2020s, with extensive DJ and producer collaborations alongside their core duo work.
