Her's were an English indie pop duo — Stephen Fitzpatrick and Audun Laading — formed in Liverpool in 2016. Their dreamy, jangly Invitation to Her's (2018) and Songs of Her's (2017) took on new weight after both members died in a road accident on tour in 2019, at just 24. Her's formed in Liverpool, England in 2016 around Stephen Fitzpatrick (English) and Audun Laading (Norwegian), who met while studying at the Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts (LIPA). They signed with Heist or Hit Records and released the compilation Songs of Her's (2017) and the studio album Invitation to Her's (2018). On March 27, 2019, while on tour in the United States, both Fitzpatrick and Laading along with their tour manager Trevor Engelbrektson died in a vehicle collision on Interstate 10 near Tonopah, Arizona. The accident was caused by a wrong-way driver. Both members were 24 years old at the time of their deaths.
Her's sound combined indie pop, indie rock, dream pop, jangle pop, and surf rock with Fitzpatrick's distinctive baritone vocal delivery and the duo's signature melodic, reverbed pop arrangements drawing on 1980s indie pop and classic surf reference points.
Heist or Hit Records pressings of the Her's catalog have been issued in color variant editions, with multiple posthumous repressings.
