About Hermanos Gutiérrez

Hermanos Gutiérrez (Spanish for Gutiérrez brothers) formed in Zurich, Switzerland in 2015 around brothers Estevan and Alejandro Gutiérrez. Their parents are Ecuadorian (mother) and Swiss (father), and their work draws extensively on the brothers' biracial Latin American heritage. They signed with Dan Auerbach's Easy Eye Sound (a Nashville-based label associated with the Black Keys frontman) for El Bueno y el Malo (2022), which expanded their international audience. Auerbach has produced and collaborated extensively on their subsequent material.

Sound and style

Hermanos Gutiérrez's sound combines instrumental rock, Latin folk, Americana, surf rock, desert rock, and ambient with extensive twin-guitar interplay between the brothers, drawing on Ennio Morricone-style spaghetti Western soundtracks, Latin American folk traditions, and contemporary instrumental rock. Their work is entirely instrumental.
