About Gregory Alan Isakov

Gregory Alan Isakov was born in Johannesburg, South Africa on July 18, 1979 and immigrated to the United States with his family at age seven. He studied horticulture at Naropa University in Boulder, Colorado, and continues to operate Starling Farm in Boulder County alongside his music career. He has remained an independent artist throughout his career, with releases on his own Suitcase Town Music label. He has worked extensively with the Colorado Symphony Orchestra, with the 2016 release Gregory Alan Isakov with the Colorado Symphony documenting that collaboration.
