Dennis Coles, performing as Ghostface Killah, was born in Staten Island, New York on May 9, 1970. He is a foundational member of the Wu-Tang Clan, the Staten Island hip hop collective formed in 1992. His solo catalog launched with Ironman (1996) on Razor Sharp / Epic Records, with the landmark Supreme Clientele (2000) widely cited as one of the defining solo Wu-Tang releases. He has continued releasing material across multiple labels, including extensive collaboration with producer Adrian Younge on the Twelve Reasons to Die series.
