Geese formed in Brooklyn, New York in 2017 when the band members were teenagers in high school. They signed with Partisan Records / Play It Again Sam in 2021 and released their debut Projector that year. Their second album 3D Country (2023) marked a stylistic expansion, with the band moving from post-punk-influenced indie rock toward broader Americana, glam rock, and country rock territory. Frontman Cameron Winter has also released solo material as Cameron Winter, including the well-received Heavy Metal (2024).
