About Future & Metro Boomin
This is the collaborative project between Future and Metro Boomin (Leland Wayne). Metro Boomin is a St. Louis-born, Atlanta-based producer who has been one of Future's most important collaborators since the early 2010s, with extensive production credits across Future's solo catalog as well as work with Drake, 21 Savage, the Weeknd, Travis Scott, Kanye West, and many others. Their collaborative albums We Don't Trust You (March 2024) and We Still Don't Trust You (April 2024) became major cultural events, partly through their inclusion of Kendrick Lamar's diss track Like That, which initiated the high-profile 2024 dispute between Kendrick Lamar and Drake.
Sound and style
The Future & Metro Boomin sound combines trap, Atlanta hip hop, melodic rap, and contemporary hip hop with Metro Boomin's signature atmospheric, harmonically rich trap production paired with Future's distinctive vocal delivery and lyrical content. The 2024 collaborative project featured extensive guest contributors including Kendrick Lamar, the Weeknd, Travis Scott, Playboi Carti, and others.
