Nayvadius DeMun Cash, performing as Future, was born in Atlanta, Georgia on November 20, 1983. He is a cousin of Rico Wade of Organized Noize (the production team behind OutKast, Goodie Mob, and others). He launched his recording career in the mid-2000s on the Dungeon Family rap collective before launching his Freebandz label in 2010 and signing with Epic Records via A1 Recordings. His sustained run of mixtapes and studio albums across the 2010s and 2020s has made him one of the defining figures in contemporary Atlanta trap. He has won one Grammy Award (for Best Melodic Rap Performance for Way 2 Sexy in 2022).
