About Disclosure
Disclosure formed in Reigate, Surrey in 2010 around brothers Guy Lawrence (born May 25, 1991) and Howard Lawrence (born May 11, 1994). They signed with PMR Records and Island/Cherrytree for their debut Settle (2013), which became a international commercial and critical success and earned them a Grammy nomination for Best Dance/Electronic Album. Their collaboration with Sam Smith on Latch (2012) was a major early hit, and they have continued working with extensive vocalist collaborators including AlunaGeorge, London Grammar, Lorde, the Weeknd, and many others.
Sound and style
Disclosure's sound combines house, deep house, UK garage, electronic dance music, and pop production with extensive vocal collaborations and a distinctive analog-warm production aesthetic. Their work is widely credited with helping bring deep house and UK garage to mainstream pop audiences in the 2010s.
