Circa Survive formed in Doylestown, Pennsylvania in 2004 around Anthony Green, who had previously fronted Saosin. The lineup of Green, Colin Frangicetto, Brendan Ekstrom, Nick Beard, and Steve Clifford has remained stable across the band's career. They have moved through Equal Vision, Atlantic, Sumerian, and Rise Records across their catalog.
