Brand New formed in Levittown, Long Island in 2000. The lineup of Jesse Lacey, Vincent Accardi, Garrett Tierney, and Brian Lane built a following through the emo and pop punk scene of the early 2000s, with Lacey emerging as one of the most acclaimed songwriters of the era. The band moved from Triple Crown to Razor & Tie to Interscope across their career, releasing four studio albums between 2001 and 2017. The band ceased activity in late 2017 / 2018 following sexual misconduct allegations against Lacey.
