About boa
The name boa is used by several distinct musical acts. The most internationally recognized in alternative rock circles is the English band Bôa (sometimes spelled Boa or boa), formed in London in the early 1990s. The band became known internationally through their song Duvet, used as the theme to the anime series Serial Experiments Lain (1998). Their albums include Twilight (1998) and Get There (2005). A separate Japanese-Korean pop singer also performs under the name BoA. This page covers the releases we carry for this act.
Sound and style
The Bôa rock band sound combines alternative rock, art rock, and progressive influences with prominent female vocals. The Japanese-Korean BoA performs in K-pop and J-pop traditions.
