Jeremie Pennick was born in Buffalo, New York on November 4, 1984. He is a cousin of Westside Gunn and Conway the Machine, with whom he forms the core of the Griselda Records collective. After releasing material independently in the early 2010s, he became central to the Griselda movement that emerged in the late 2010s alongside Westside Gunn and Conway. His Tana Talk series of mixtapes and albums have built him into one of the most respected lyrical voices in 2010s/2020s hip hop. He signed a major label deal with Def Jam in 2022.
