About Beach Bunny
Beach Bunny began in 2015 as a solo project of Chicago singer-songwriter Lili Trifilio. She expanded the project to a full band in 2017 with guitarist Matt Henkels, bassist Anthony Vaccaro, and drummer Jon Alvarado. The band signed with Mom + Pop Music and released their debut album Honeymoon in February 2020. Their viral TikTok success with the track Prom Queen (2018) preceded the album release and built early audience momentum. Subsequent albums Emotional Creature (2022) and Tunnel Vision (2025) have continued their catalog.
Sound and style
Beach Bunny's sound combines indie pop, indie rock, surf rock, and pop punk, with bright guitar work, melodic hooks, and Trifilio's confessional songwriting. Their work has consistently centered on themes of self-image, relationships, and emotional honesty, with arrangements drawing on 1990s alternative rock alongside contemporary indie aesthetics.
