Band of Horses formed in Seattle in 2004 around Ben Bridwell, who had previously played in Carissa's Wierd alongside Mat Brooke. The band signed to Sub Pop and released their debut album Everything All the Time in 2006. Brooke departed after the debut, and Bridwell relocated the band's operations to South Carolina. They moved from Sub Pop to Brown/Columbia for Infinite Arms (2010) and subsequent releases, with Mirror Music Group/BMG handling the 2022 release Things Are Great.
