About Ashnikko
Ashton Nicole Casey, performing as Ashnikko, was born in Oak Ridge, North Carolina on December 19, 1996. She moved to London as a teenager and began releasing music in 2017. She signed with Parlophone Records (Warner Music) and released a series of EPs before her viral single Stupid (with Yung Baby Tate, 2019) brought her wider attention. Her mixtape Demidevil (2021) and debut studio album Weedkiller (2023) have built on that momentum.
Sound and style
Ashnikko's sound combines pop rap, hyperpop, alternative rock, and electronic production with vivid lyrical content, fantasy and gothic imagery (particularly on Weedkiller, which is built around a science-fiction narrative concept), and a confrontational performance style.
