About Arm's Length
Arm's Length formed in Quinte West, Ontario (a small Canadian community east of Toronto) in 2018, founded by Allen Steinberg on guitar and vocals along with brothers Jeremy and Jeff Whyte. Benjamin Greenblatt, originally from New Jersey, joined on bass in 2022. The band built a following through two early EPs (What's Mine Is Yours, 2019 and Everything Nice, 2021) before signing with Wax Bodega and releasing their debut full-length Never Before Seen, Never Again Found in October 2022. In February 2025, the band signed with Pure Noise Records.
Sound and style
Arm's Length's sound combines emo, post-hardcore, and pop-punk with melodic guitar interplay, intricate dynamic shifts, and confessional lyrical content addressing family, mental health, and rural Canadian life. Their work has frequently been associated with the so-called fifth-wave emo revival alongside bands like Hot Mulligan and Origami Angel.
