Ariyan Arslani was born in Flushing, Queens on December 2, 1983, the son of Albanian immigrants. He worked for nearly a decade as a chef in New York City before pivoting to music after a kitchen injury. His self-released debut Dr. Lecter appeared in 2011, followed by Well-Done (2011, with producer Statik Selektah) and the early mixtape series Blue Chips. He signed with Vice Records / Atlantic in 2012 and released his major-label debut Mr. Wonderful in 2015. He has also hosted multiple food and travel TV series for Vice, including F*ck, That's Delicious.
