Wax Trax Broadway Bazaar is Now Permanent!

|Wax Trax

As you may have heard, over the Christmas months Wax Trax joined up with supreme thrifters Lady Lazarus and the Vintage Vamp to open a vinyl/vintage pop-up over the winter called the Wax Trax Broadway Bazaar.

It’s the first time Wax Trax has had a second location since 1997, and the Baker/South Broadway/Speer communities have been so friendly that we frankly got a little addicted to working there. It’s really nice to be part of a new community, so we’re making the Broadway Bazaar location permanent!

Our excellent staffer Zack has been back at work putting together more brand new record racks for Broadway, and the “murder room” as we call it (a wall of plastic sheeting at the rear of the store) is coming down soon. Building out the whole place will be a slow methodical process of accumulation, but we’ve already started expanding the store’s stock, so let us know what you want to see more of!

Aside from a healthy and growing used vinyl selection and a slightly different new vinyl array, there are a couple things that set this location apart from the mothership in Capitol Hill.

One is parking. It’s reportedly a lot easier to park in the area (and psst, we actually have ½ of the parking lot in the rear of the building). So if you’re bringing us a couple crates of records to sell, you should easily be able to find a convenient spot.

Another is the brand new protected bike lane aka cycletrack out front. This cycletrack connects up to the Cherry Creek Trail, so if you live near any of Denver’s growing bike network you should be able to find a way to get to us on two wheels even if you’re deathly afraid of being in traffic.

A third is we are super close to Denver’s light rail system. If you live anywhere along the H, E, or D lines, we’re just a short 10-minute walk from Alameda Station.

Lastly if you’re in the habit of combining your crate digging with other pursuits like brunching, thrifting, reading, scooting, or boozing, S. Broadway has a passel of other excellent businesses to check out.
