Before Michael Yonkers created Microminature Love he was in a band called Michael and the Mumbles. They put on this self-titled LP in 1966. At first listen, this sounds like a typical teenage garage of this era. But listen again and there's a darkness there. Mumbles has some of the same characteristics that would make Micro the singularly original piece that it is; it's emotionally bleak themes, dissonant undercurrents, and recklessly wild performance. The mastertapes used herein are 45 yrs old and aside from the glitch on 'Cold Town' they sound amazing.
