DJ Abilities - Phonograph Phoenix LP (purple vinyl)

DJ Abilities was the man performing all the scratches on El-P's Fantastic Damage, but is best known as half of Eyedea & Abilities. Tragically, Eyedea passed away in 2010, but the influence of their partnership continues to shape DJ Abilities' music to this day. Phonograph Phoenix is a departure from previous work that was primarily sample-based. Abilities created his own sound through Ableton Live and various soft synths, with razor sharp cuts and select vocal chops.
