The Cold Crush Brothers were a seminal force in New York hip hop in the mid 80s thanks to singles on Tuff City, Profile, and B Boy, but this is the first full album the group ever issued, and really the only one until later collections of their work! The vibe here follows from the B Boy years still rocking it hard with great use of samples from that time when the early groups were really starting to change things up. At a time when hip hop was starting to creep into the major labels, these guys still keep it nice and raw.
