Bright Eyes are the Omaha, Nebraska-based band led by lauded songwriter Conor Oberst. Recording from the age of 14, Oberst first reached national, and then international, attention with the release of 2000's Fevers and Mirrors, recorded when he was just 19 years old. Bright Eyes are Oberst, Mike Mogis and Nathaniel Walcott.
Bright Eyes' Fevers and Mirrors is a modern day masterpiece — 12 songs of brutal honesty and ingenious storytelling that bring us a bit closer to the undeniable talent of Conor Oberst. AllMusic describes the album thusly: "A strong adaptation of Radiohead, Blur and Suede, conveniently wrapped up in a neat lo-fi package. ... The results amount to a catchy collection of ellaborate pop that's been perfectly captured on a nickel budget."
